6th Annual Sperry Quarter Horse
Sale Results
In the beautiful hills of the badlands at Medora, ND, Sperry Horses held
their 6th annual Production and Performance horse sale on
August 8th. We started the weekend out with our 2nd annual
futurity with Todd Leland of Sidney, MT winning overall with Badlands
Peppy War. On Friday afternoon the horses previewed. Sale day morning
we previewed the horses at 10am and then sold them at 1 pm under the big
tent. Sale results were as follows:
Top selling performance horse: Lot #5, EC Mr Sun
Doc a 7 year old Buckskin head horse selling to Layne Murnion of Jordan,
MT for $8600.
Second highest selling performance horse: Lot #3,
Win With Poco a 5 year old Dun gelding selling to Nick Rave of Chicago,
IL for $7300.
Top 5 performance horse average: $6190
Overall performance horse average: $4193
Top selling foal: Lot #36, Badlands Oak Arch a dun
colt out of our Docs Oak stallion and Hard Cash Dash mare selling to
Palmer Norby of Sidney, MT for $1500.
Second highest selling foal: Lot #35, Badlands
Cash Arock a red roan colt out of our Dash For Cash stallion selling to
Palmer Norby of Sidney, MT for $1400.

To finish the weekend off we held our 1st
Annual Sperry Invitational Consignment Sale on Sunday, August 9th. What
a great turnout for our 1st year. The consignors were great
to work with and brought us some nice horses.

consigned by Turner Performance Horses, selling to Levi Rue of Sheyenne,
ND for $6700.
Second highest selling horses: Lot #81, Docs Tom
Frost, consigned by JJ and Tana Hovde, selling to Jason Leiseth of
Arnegard, ND and Lot #143X, Maltese Missile, consigned by Turner
Performance Horses, selling to Brian Connolly of Louisville, KY each
selling for $5900.

Dynamite, consigned by Circle Dot Horses, selling to David Madler of New
